My kids’ favorite buttercream frosting!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups Unsalted Butter (softened)
  • 4 1/2 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1 TBSP Vanilla Extract
  • 1 TBSP Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1/4 tsp Salt

Instructions

  1. Mix softened butter on medium speed in an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
  2. Slowly add powdered sugar, heavy whipping cream, vanilla extract and salt
  3. Increase speed to high and beat for 3 minutes.

Notes

In hot climates, replace half the butter with high ratio shortening.

Replace vanilla extract with clear vanilla if you want a whiter color frosting.
